Here you can find my photographic tutorials. I have attempted to collate everything I have learned since about photography that isn’t easily accessible or easy to understand elsewhere on the internet.
My tutorials are aimed at newcomers to photography, not old hands (of which there are many!) and my aim is to help new photographers grasp some of the concepts which gave me the most trouble.
Specifically I have covered (so far at least) the concepts of “stops” relating to aperture, shutter speed and sensitivity and their role in reciprocity, defining and calculating angle of view (and what it really means) and HDR photography.
When I have the time I do write more tutorials and if you have any requests or ideas for areas you’d like me to cover please let me know. Currently I am working on a tutorial about lenses and understanding what all the designations and names mean (however this information is easily available elsewhere on the internet) and I am also attempting to update the HDR tutorial (something which many people attempt and few get right) as I feel there is only one good tutorial available at the moment.
Please feel free to contact me if you find errors, inconsistencies or omissions.
