I am experienced immunologist with experience of techniques such as ELISA, EliSpot, Flow Cytometry, Multiplex ELISA systems, sterile cell culture, PBMC isolation, LTA, MLR etc. I have further microbiological and molecular skills including culture of bacteria, staining, harvesting and multiplex and Q-PCR.
I am currently part of a team developing a 9 colour panel for use in flow cytometric immunophenotyping of bovine cells, along with the development of an intra-cellular staining based method for epitope mapping of antigenic proteins. Further to this I am currently testing and refining a cytokine secretion assay for positive selection of living cytokine secreting cells which can be used in adoptive transfer experiments. Other work includes ongoing antigen mining and test consultancy.
I am fully trained and competent to work in CL3 facilities with over 5 years experience, including training of staff, management and design of facilities.
I have gained much valuable experience working at CL3 with a range of biological agents including M. tuberculosis, M. bovis, B. anthracis, Y. pestis and others.
